Common Good Atlanta Announces New Executive Director

We are excited to announce that Common Good Atlanta’s Board of Directors has voted to name Tiffany Kirk as our new Executive Director. Tiffany brings a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to education, and a passion for supporting individuals impacted by incarceration.

Tiffany joins us from Pinnacle Financial Partners, where she served as the Community Development Coordinator, overseeing Community Reinvestment Act activities. Her extensive background also includes nine years as Community Development Manager for Regions Bank and experience as an education specialist and financial education specialist in Minnesota’s correctional facilities. Most notably, Tiffany founded and served as the Executive Director of Project Restart, a successful re-entry services non-profit organization in Atlanta.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tiffany as our new Executive Director,” said CGA co-founder and Emory English professor Dr. Sarah Higinbotham.  “Her visionary leadership and deep commitment to educational equity make her the ideal person to guide CGA into its next chapter. As our new Executive Director, Tiffany will help us build stronger connections between people in prison, dedicated professors, and decision makers.”

Tiffany’s leadership will help us continue to expand our efforts in providing high-quality college education to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals across Georgia. Her vision aligns with our mission to connect Georgia’s top professors and universities with incarceration institutions, offering accredited college courses and a supportive community for our alumni.

“Access to higher education is a human right and is the primary solution to reducing recidivism,” Tiffany said. “I’m eager to contribute to Common Good Atlanta’s impactful work and help empower more individuals through education.”
