The Clemente Program

The Clemente classes are part of an educational program designed to equip students in lower economic situations with the skills they need to succeed. It includes college accreditation upon completion of a core set of classes. Clemente is grounded in the belief that through the study of core humanities and critical thinking curricula, students can gain the necessary skills to develop stronger personal agency and social inclusion ultimately leading to stronger confidence, purpose, and identity.

Common Good Atlanta relies on our community of volunteer professors to teach Clemente at our partner sites Metro Reentry Facility, Whitworth Women's Facility, and Burruss Correctional.
